Hello, earlier I made a BiS solver for Monk gear in the following threads:
http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...r-A-Discussion
http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...-Best-Monk-Set
it has even confirmed the BiS gear among other people given the same conditions.
Moving on I have decided to create another solver that finds the BiS gear for Dragoons.
Here is the google doc link if you would like to view it:
https://docs.google.com/a/csu.fuller...pdDVaWlE#gid=0
Here is the dropbox download if you would like to download it and make any changes of your own like alter the accuracy requirement, the stat weights, or add rows for weapons:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/r38whwhmxm...20-%20Copy.xls
The solver has a minimum accuracy constraint that accuracy must be >=472. The base accuracy is 341, if using relic+1 you get +37 accuracy. Thus you only need 94 accuracy from equipment. However, if you'd like to find the BiS gear for someone using the Allagan weapon then you'll need 131 accuracy from the gear and would put 131 in the orange box instead. you can also lower the accuracy requirement based on food buffs if you wish.
The weights i used were from the thread:
http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...otation-Reborn
which determined that Dragoons prefer Det .22>Crit .16>SS .146 by EasymodeX who also helped provide me with the proper weights in the monk threads.
However, if you download the solver you can always change the weights in the orange boxes if you'd like to your content.
yellow is just a visual to show no difference between the compared gear for specific stats.
Green is the final optimal output the gear set produces. it is basically the amount of stats you've gained from the chosen gear, multiplied by their weights and added together. you can use this number to compare against other handpicked gear and taking the stats gained from the hand picked gear and multiplying those by the same weights and adding them up which unless you picked the same set, won't be as optimal.
The blue represents which gear pieces were chosen once you've ran the solver. a 0 is a no, and a 1 is the chosen gear piece.
How to run the solver if you'd like to make your own scenario's/conditions:
First make sure you have the solver add-in, you can do this by going to file>options>add-ins> select the solver addin> click Go...
Now:
1. In the orange boxes change the inputs you want for the minimum accuracy requirement and the stat weights. If you're using relic+1 you'll only need 94 from equipment, if you're using the allagan weapon you'll need 131 accuracy from equipment.
2. Click the green box where total objective is.
3. Go to the data tab, then at the right side you'll see the solver icon which looks like a question mark.
4. click the solver, then click solve.
5. now you'll see which pieces it has selected once it spits out 0's and 1's in the blue boxes.
Here is the chosen Relic+1 gear set which I have confirmed with the set given by the Dragoons: A rotation reborn thread:
http://xivdb.com/?wardrobe/4733/Opti...t-using-relic1
(its not showing the rings but they are calculated in the stats)
Here is the chosen Allagan weapon gear set:
http://xivdb.com/?wardrobe/4734/Opti...allagan-weapon
Of the two you get:
relic+1: 475 acc (3 over), 135 crit, 112, 22 ss = 135(.16)+112(.22)+22(.146) = 49.45 total objective
Allagan: 476 acc (4 over),82 crit, 138 det, 37 ss = 82(.16)+138(.22)+37(.146) = 48.88 total objective
Overall the Relic+1 set is better than the Allagan weapon set.
(which is surprising, for monks its allagan set>relic+1 set)
(only thing im not sure about is the actual turns you get the allagan weapons at)
