ok so for an update..
chat support closed 45 min early.. so I can no longer talk to them but I have done everything they asked of me even so far as removing all ffxiv arr files and run ccleaner this did not work since the launcher gets stuck with the script error and cant download the game back. the error is in the error i posted above this and this needs to be fixed befor anyone with this issue can play again.
I also started having this issue about 3 days ago and still have yet to be able to log on.
The steps I took were:
Updated IE to the latest Version (IE 11)
Went into the BOOT file and confirmed that the values were indeed 1 and not 0.
Took a working file from my laptop and copied it onto my desktop (this worked once. When I tried to re-log, it gave me a script error again).
edit: forgot to mention that I also disabled any and all pop-up blockers and extensions.
Can we get this thread noticed somehow by the admins?
Looks like not enough players having this issue and if they are having it they not saying much, so getting this noticed might be a bit tough LOL.
I just tried to use the launcher again and it started working. Not sure if random or the scripts have been fixed.

I have the same script errors. I have been trying all day to get it to work. It was working just fine last night.![]()
Having the same problem i'm surprised that an SE representative hasn't given any replies to this problem yet.
Found a solution to this problem. Go to start>all programs>accessories>system tools>system restore. pick a date when your FFXIV ARR was working properly then proceed with system restore. hope that helps everyone out but wow SE good job on helping your monthly paying customers out (sarcasm).
