This is really stupid, in fact - this goes against the entire point of an RPG and the point of bettering yourself.
You get better gear so you make things easier, less challenging, faster, so on.
Additionally, when the new content does come out, people with high iLevel will likely move onto that content. Content is always going to get easier when you get better gear, that's the point of progression.

^This...we already have a level sync feature for lower lvl dungeons, which makes sense and is a good thing. Gear sync in Lvl 50 content in any form is just dumb and destroys the whole purpose of getting better gear in the first place. Why would you wanna run WP/AK/CM/Prae dozens of times every week if NONE of the gear you get through it would make a difference in there? Why go in there in the first place then?

What motivation would anyone have to get gear and challenge harder content to get the gear and items? I get that some people feel they should be carried but forcing everyone down to your level just so they will play with you is dumb. This is just another "I'm a DPS and i don't like how long it takes for me to get a party" thread. If you want to get in with the Relic +1 parties then get the gear. Those parties are not interested in carrying dead weight or having care bears who can't handle moving quickly and doing huge pulls. They get the privilege of faster runs because they got themselves better gear.


In short this idea is pointless and kills the fun of an MMO for a whole lot of players to satisfy a few whiners who can't be bothered to work.

Defeats the purpose of gearing up to feel powerful. So spending months of gearing up actually makes you the same as before. That doesnt sound cool for end game imo when there is a lack of end game dungeons.

That whole concept is just stupid........... That's why people spend hours grinding, to make things easy, to make you feel like you have achieved something! It's not fun grinding hours and hours of the same dungeon, but we do it to be stronger in the end. There would be no point otherwise! This kind of reminds me off ff8 where the mobs leveled up in sync with your own players......... Although I loved that game. Didn't like that idea!

The only reason to get Darklight and above is so we can challenge Binding Coils, not so we can faceroll easy content. Not to mention Relic+1 DDs can make tanking very depressing for a fresh 50 tank.

I support having a iLv sync. Maybe sync WP/AK at iLv70, sync HM Primals at iLv90, sync BC at iLv 110 or something like that.

When I see people geared to run Ak or wp, it means they have taken the time to improve themselves and not having to be carried. I hate to see people starting Ak and only have level 50 gear.

AK is easily doable in AF and GC wep. It may not be the fastest but its not hard. Demon wall takes just a little longer and Anantaboga is lolwut? Easy after wall. It only gets faster from there. Back to the point of the thread ilvl sync is bad for a number of reasons, one of which is the fact we have to grind sooooooo much

I don't support this idea at all.
That way our gear would only have meaning inside Coil and how often are we doing Coil?
Whats the point in gearing if it's only useful once a week for clearing coil?
And let's be honest, even with iLvl 55 wanderers palace is not a challenge, it simply takes longer thats about it...
It's more challenging to speed run it and try new more risky stuff in order to clear it faster, speed runs is where the real challenge is at.

Accidentally went in WP without a tank last night , but we still managed to cleared it with SMN, CNJ, BRD and BLM.

Want challenges? Just dont party up with tank or healer. lol
