    Tanking Enmity List Suggestion

Would it be possible in the near future for tanks to have a different enmity list compared to DPS/Healers. I play almost all the classes and the enemy enmity list is very useful for healers/DPS, you know when you're safe, when you are about to pull a mob from a tank and so on.

However, playing as a tank, as much as I enjoy it, can be quite scary/unpredictable. 90% of the time it's all smooth but then a random BLM wearing a swimsuit procs thundercloud/firestarter 10 times in a row.The only thing you have is an enmity list that is all RED when you have the top threat, but it doesn't tell you in comparison how much the others have.

Suggestion: Flip the enmity list for tanks so it displays enemies at RED when little to no threat is present, and the higher the threat, the closer to green it is. Or simply, implement a threat meter. Or even a warning above the mob saying you're about to lose aggro.(since addons are not allowed atm, this can be a predicament)

    tl;dr wtb threat meter

If your tanking single target there is a meter by the names by each player in the pt list. On multiple targets you should be spaming flash in between riot combos if its more than 5 mobs. If its less than fight just spread your combo through the mobs checking the meter as you do.

Sorry might've come off as a confused tank but, my rotations are solid, single target or aoe modes. And the little meter by the party names CAN be useful at times but mostly useless since it's a bar, a small one at that. I can have the aggro on one mob, and the DPS can be on green threat but with one ability, it can change from green to instant red. Just want a more solid way of knowing threat really per mob/boss so I know which mobs need more threat and which ones are safe to leave alone for a good few seconds:O

I've been doing a lot of tanking recently, and I have to admit that a threat meter for multi-mob fights would be very nice. I don't really know where on the screen real-estate it would be placed, though.

There are 2 enmity meeters, the green/yellow/orange/red next to the enemies in the enemy list... and the bar/number next to player names in the party list (which relates to the enemy you are currently targeting) you can use the second to determine how close you are to losing hate, but it could be easier to see for various targets.

I'd like to see the enmity colors reversed for tank.

Green circles means you're doing just fine...
Yellow and Orange triangles show up when somebody has 50% and 75% of your current enmity... Somebody might be about to steal it...
Red Flashing Square only shows up when you've lost aggro. What are you doing!? Re-establish aggro! AAAAH

Maybe it'd be too confusing for people who do both tank and healer. But... they're already complete opposites. Shouldn't be too bad.

No need to reverse the colors. Simply make it the flashing icon when you're close to losing hate, rather than close to getting hate.

That would certainly be better than how it is now, but I'd like it to be more flashy if they made it that way. Colors are easy to spot. The shine is something I'm liable to just filter out or miss completely.

The bar next to the player sometimes is simply not enough, when you are in trash mobs, for example on my BLM, sometimes I can go from Green to Red/Yellow to Red in an instant skipping colors altogether, and coming from both a dps/tank, the info simply is not enough and the tank won't have enough time to pre-emptively get enough threat. And as people have suggested, a flashing icon would be a great help to make it more visible for new/current players.

Or maybe have a percentage next to the enmity list colors. Complete threat = Color Red 99%, and goes down steadily as the person with the highest threat on that mob accumulates threat(excluding the person that the mob is already attacking). So if you see you have Color Red 10%, its time to focus more on that target(s).

Yeah it would be nice for tanks to have a warning on multiple target fights.
