Those blue flames in the lvl 30 guildhest

Does anyone know how to extinguish the blue flames in the lvl 30 guildhest with the demon? I ran it for the first time last night and no one in the group seemed concerned with them. I was tanking so I was focused on keeping the demon's attention but before long there were a dozen or more dogs and I started getting yelled at for not grabbing all of them. We succeeded without anyone dying but I was tapped out on mp and tp trying to hold aggro on everything as a warrior.

This is what I like to do:
Run and interact with the flames. They take like ten seconds to extinguish. Have tank take enemy away from blue flames. If you kill the dogs, the flames reappear. You can either: Grab them all and tank them around, ignoring them until the boss is dead. Or, kill them when they appear and have someone extinguish the flame.

I hate this guildhest everyone does it differently and that usually includes tanking near the flame and then ignoring the flame, making the boss really strong, ugh.

You have to click on the flames to interact with them. As the tank, don't worry about it.
The flames give a damage buff to the boss and he will shoot a nasty attack at whoever is putting them out, so many people ignore them.
DPS should generally be trying to kill the adds though. Again, many people ignore them in favor of burning down the boss. Killing the adds also creates more flames.

Thanks for the responses. It just caught me off guard how quickly everything escalated in that fight I started to think I did something wrong but then remembered the description mentioned extinguishing the flames and didn't seem like that was happening. The chaos. Lol
