Suggestion : Cross Hotbar # 9 L2 + R2

I think the title says it all. If in addition to the current setup, we could have a global cross hotbar that shows up when L2 and R2 are pressed down, that would be a welcome addition, for a number of uses. I would personally use it to have all my buffs and anything situational. Currently, unless you're using toggle mode, tapping R1 to switch is slow because I have to release the R2/L2 buttons and repress them to see the change. I do use /chotbar change macros, but that's still a pain.

In short, L2 + R2 = Cross Hotbar 9.

I wouldn't like it if it actually switched the crossbar set. Maybe if it just brought up an extra set that was only their while you held down both trigger buttons and returned to the crossbar set you where at when you released. You would only have an extra 8 actions but it would be a lot faster than the crossbar set changing and you having to switch back to the previous one.

Looks like it's coming in 2.1! And it doesn't seem like it'll switch the set, just a pop-up. Awesome.

I'd love a L2+R2 shared hotbar, personally. Having quick access to my "getting around" stuff like chocobo, Return, Teleport while not losing precious hotbar spaces for battle abilities would be awesome.

I have all that set to hotbar 8 at the moment but instant access would be great. Or even just being able to define both triggers together as an extra set of actions as part of a regular hotbar, meaning each one gets 24 slots.

There's no reason it should be a shared bar, though. If you want it to have the same skills for every job, then just set them as the same skills. There should be a copy/paste function for that... but there's no reason to add that restriction to the bars. Every class needs more than 16 ability slots. Wasting an extra 8 slots on a frivolous restriction like a "shared bar" (which can be easily emulated if that is what you desire) is an awful idea.. I need that 3rd bar for unique abilities.

R3. First person view is pointless. Just skip it in the gamepad calibration.
