End game healing V.S. Leveling Healing.

So it may be just me but in dungeons and fights like Garuda it is almost always easier to toss a regen on a dps than it is to throw a cure and spot heal when needed, unless there is not much damage going out. I dunno what it is but Medica does not heal for a lot and always feels like ether not everyone gets hit by it -or- it drains a ton of mana to be really useful for me. If a lot of damage is going out espeacially on tank it feels just better to throw a regen and keep on tank unless a dps is for sure going to die with out a cure right than and there.

...this doesn't seem like a comparison at all. Anyway, I will say that yes, regen on the DPS typically works well. As for Medica, yes it heals less, but it's cheaper than trying to heal the party individually. For things like the major primal attacks, titans stomps, or other stuff that hits the whole party, it's worth it for the party to stack and use medica. Even better, use Medica II to get an AoE regen, then use medica.

    So, to clarify
Regen: Put this on anyone getting hurt. Keep on tank full time
Medica and Medica II: Use to help recover from attacks that hit the entire party
Cures: Really should only be used on the tank, or a DPS who's pretty low.

Regen and Stoneskin have been my 2 fav things so far.

I'm still figuring out Cure III but I"m thick headed.

People are never close enough for me to try and use Medica though, so I end up healing myself.

I think i got side tracked, but basically it wasnt a comparison it was is this how things are end game? From what I heard though White mages typically are a tank healer? From what I heard Blood Cure 3 really is not used until way later in game and than only in certain situations.

I am thinking i may level up arcanist first to get eye for an eye cuz it seems like one of the more helfpul spells.

It's very similar at endgame. Unless the DPS are in serious trouble you'll want to focus your healing on the Tank. You don't normally need to spam regen on everyone though just throw a cure down if a DPS gets to 50% HP in most situations. AoE heals are fine when needed but they draw a lot of aggro so if you can avoid using them you should. I find the better i got at healing the more it takes for me to decide to use a medica or medica II. I used to use them a lot more. Stoneskin + Divine Seal + Regen is usually my favorite combo on the Tank and it saves a lot of healing and opens a nice little window to switch cleric stance on and do some DPS.

Cure III is a spell i basically never use unless i need a quick band aid solution to group spike damage but normally i just won't bother since it's kind of lame how short the range is.

Regen pulls too much hate to use on dps as a rule. I will occasionally use it on dps but only if I need to toss them something before immediately switching back to the tank and I know the tank has good aggro. I only use it on the tank if it will not result in overhealing. Never use it before pulls. And I never use it if I'm expecting adds to spawn.
