What's up with tanks?

Ok guys you need to know that a tank pulling mobs at a fast pace in WP isn't actually a "speed run". They're probably just used to players who know how to adapt and have dps that allows them to kill and pull at a good clip.

My understanding of speed run tactics is that you don't even bother to fight most of the mobs, instead running through everything and having the tank die at key points to be raised.

I usually prefer not to do speed runs since im new to the game but i have been in groups that kind of force it

That's not a speedrun. In a WP speedrun you skip VERY few mobs.

you can thank the toxic community for this.. Filtered out all the good (to play and have fun) tanks and now your just left with the bad tanks.

Or Maybe you can thank SE for making this game a boring grind festival of stupid repeating tasks. So yeah after you clear AK and WP for 200 times people aint gonna waste their time in there when they can just go out in 8 minutes flat.

People see a full allagan tank with relic +1 clear WP in 8 minutes, and they think their DF pug can do it too in AF and pinks.

In other words, people think they're capable of far more than they really are simply because someone else did something, when they lack both the gear, skill, and coordination to do it themselves.

I've never understood people that get mad at a group trying to clear a dungeon quickly. Efficiently clearing a dungeon doesn't make it this evil "speed run" that people seem to hate. But even if it was a speed run (and you're in the DF, so it most certainly is NOT a speed run regardless of what you think), who cares? If you're capable of clearing a dungeon quickly, why would you not do so?
