FC Application?

How do you know it hasn't been done before? I've seen people shout for randoms for turn 4 or turn 5 groups. I think its -very- possible to do content without an FC or LS, but most times people will still ask you to join their vent or mumble even though you are a random.

People are shouting for them, sure. Turn 4 probably has been cleared with a PUG. That is to say, it's not very likely but I wouldn't be surprised either. Turn 5 on the other hand, I'm fairly certain a PUG hasn't cleared it. Even for non-FC parties, there is usually a static(LS) involved anyway.

The idea is, Turn 4 and 5 particularly require a solid dose of coordination from all players and in the case of Turn 5, plenty of experience. You typically don't get that by grabbing random people, but rather by repeating attempts with the same group if possible.

Ultimately though, it has nothing to do with it being possible or not. Coordinated FCs will always do it first. Furthermore, people who play well typically enjoy playing with like-minded and equivalently capable individuals and would prefer to tackle all the content the game throws at them together, in an organized fashion. That is what an endgame FC is about.

Like other have said it have a lot to do with drama and time you play. I know my ls you apply then you join mumble and see how you fit with everyone else. If you can't take sarcasm Then your not really a fit for the FC also it to see what time you play on. So the FC can build other party for coil and such. But pretty much most FC is like applying for a job and i understand why they have that many FC that just let anyone in don't really do much. Most of the time there a core group of people doing stuff. The rest are just there doing noting and when you ask for help or a coil party it hard to get one of most open FC.

Not saying that all open FC are like that but a big % are.

Mine is a casual FC but we still use an application on our site to filter recruits. Why? Because hard core raiders probly won't be happy in my FC.

Both FC I've ever been in just sent me a /tell while I was running around the city and asked if I wanted to join...I think the hardcore endgamers are the ones that do this, so if you don't like being in a group w/ those types then don't bother with those applications.

An application saves me time. It's so I don't have to ask the same questions again and again through chat.

Need to filter out:Immature players, and players who can't meet our raiding schedule.

I hate long applications so I made mine super short and not required.

the applications are for a different type of fc then the type you want to be in. the better groups will always have an application process. some may be longer and more detailed than others, but they will have one. these days i'd be more wary of joining a fc that doesn't have an application than one that does.

It's understandable if the guild is popular and they get many request to join, there's a lot of terrible and rude players out there.
