Being able to send tells is just a double edge sword. it has its perks but it has its bad sides also. People will abuse this, some people like to bully and be as cuel as possible via pms and try to keep a good appearance in party chat. gold sellers will wtf spam you to hell and back.

That...is a fair concern if non-friend tells were support (like being able to whisper people in the same group), however, people that will make that effort are just being mean in party chat currently.

So yeah, don't allow tells between dungeon players (unless they're on your flist, of course, lol) and just keep it to friends-list. Most of the people you want to advise don't want to hear it anyway, sadly.

And this is such a horrid excuse. They use this kind of speech for so much. Oh they don't want to implement a /sleep emote because people might make inappropriate images! Oh, they don't want you sending tells in a dungeon because people might be mean to each other!

Get over it, SE. Stop policing your players so damn hard and let us talk to our friends.

I've been in enough DF runs to see players just using the regular party chat to harass, belittle, berate, and just plain insult a player in front of others. So tell me SE, how is this any different from getting it in a tell from same person? It's not. The only "harassment" we don't get is from all those damn RMT sending us tells while were in the dungeon run.

People say it will be abused and there will be much harassing going on but in reality if someone is deadweight they get called out in party chat regardless, which is even worse than getting harassed in tells.

100% agree, its a total nuisance and I dont think it really helps at all (in terms of harrassment). Like others have said, the abuse just spills over into /p instead.

2013 MMO there is no reason as to why we can't have this feature. The "play nice" cop out is a lame cop out.
