Hud Layout Question/Suggestion.

Is there a way to save Hud layouts for different jobs? If not anyway to get it to save different layouts without having to change everything over and over?

Like I play MNK so I don't care to see party a big part list and some other stuff. But when I play SCH I want to see a bigger party list and then the stuff I don't care for on MNK. Would be nice to hit like Layout #1 or Layout#2.

No, there's only one HUD UI display at a time. You can set up macros to hide or show specific parts, but that's about it.

HUD Layout are saved in the character folder.
If you want different HUD layout for every job, save the ADDON.DAT file in the character folder for each job separate and then copy the ADDON.DAT file from the job you want in the character folder and reload the character (logout -> login)

I don't know how difficult it would be for them to implement, but, if it's not something that's too difficult I think it would be great if they looked into the possibility.

You can change the size of stuff by hitting R3 (right stick button) on the UI menu I believe, or it might be while you have it selected (by hitting select a few times), I forget which. I have a lot of things moved and resized so they aren't in the way (like the Alliance boxes for CT), and I think every HUD item can be lowered to 60% (or was it 80? I forget) and raised to 120%.

Everything can be resized I think 60/80% is the lowest and like 120% is the highest. I play on a big TV so when I use SCH I like to have party list near max and moved next to my chat box. Max it easier to watch health bars, Chat, and AoE's.


I don't think it would be to difficult to add in like two Hud Layout options. If they can add some lol minion roulette why wouldn't they be able to add this.

It works on the party list.

You can move all of the HUD items. Hit start, go to the rightmost column, HUD layout (grey translucent grid will appear with a menu in the center with all the HUD items in their own boxes), select the one you want to move around, use the right stick to move the selected to where you want I think. For example, I put my alliance boxes on the bottom right with the smallest possible setting so they aren't in the way during CT.

I do agree that they could have multiple layout sets to be saveable, would likely help a lot of players.

I know how to use the hud layout menu that's why I asked if we could save different layouts. When I said I don't think you can move the party list, I meant I don't think you can click R3 or something and move the party list without having to go to the hud menu.
