    FFXIV Won't Run past the "Play" screen; after initial install and updates.

    I am having a very difficult time, beginning FFXIV... it's not running past the "Play" Button. I get the loading screen to pop up, then my system says ffxiv has encountered a problem, and it closes.
    Please Assist me.

    I have uninstalled and reinstalled; as well, as ran the setup disc to repair.
    I am yet to be able to Play.

    Please post your system specifications. You can get those by opening your FFXIV config utility, then hitting the button that says "System Information". At the bottom of that page is a "Copy to clipboard" button.

    There are many things that can cause the game to crash at launch, but the first thing we need to check is if your machine is actually capable of running the game.
