    Transferring char back to normal server

    About a week ago I transferred my character from Gilgamesh(normal server) to Excalibur(Legacy server) to be with a few good friends of mine from FFXI. Needless to say, they don't play nearly as much as I'd like so I'm rather bored and want to go back to Gilgamesh. I made my own FC on Excalibur and I still havent disbanded it, so it may be the reason my character isn't showing up on the server transfer options.

    Am I stuck on this legacy server til the restriction is lifted or what? ;o

    You won't be able to transfer back for some time I'm afraid. Once you are placed on a Legacy server, you are "locked" into it. Right now, only "Standard" servers are allowed to transfer. For Example; I transfer Off Diabolos and switch to Gilgamesh. I can transfer again as both servers are "Standard". If I transfer off Diabolos to Hyperion (coincidentally, I have a Legacy character I haven't bothered to log into since launch on Hyperion) I'm "locked" onto that server until Square opens legacy transfers.

    Legacy transfers have not been initiated yet though I believe that they announced they should be able to transfer off 6-12 months of FFXIV going live.

    Wish I had better news on this one.

    It seems that there have not been any further posts about this concern being an ongoing issue. Because of this, we are considering it to be resolved. If this does continue to be a concern, please create another thread to further discuss resolutions or contact the Support Center at support.na.square-enix.com for assistance.
