If the people playing summoner can post here which cross class skills they are using It would help a lot and why you are using them. Thanks ahead of time.

-Thunder
DPS
-Raging Strikes
DPS CD
-Swiftcast
Utility/DPS. Used for combat rez, or SF/DoT on the move.
-Quelling Strikes
Needed for pug groups when AoEing, or undergeared tanks.
-Surecast
Almost never use it, but useful if you need to hard-cast a rez.
everything is useful except 'Hawk's Eye'..
Hawk's Eye should seriously be based on your class/job. Like if you're a BLM or a SMN it gives you intel instead of Dext -_-

Thunder is useless. It cost as much mana as ruin and does less damage. At the end of the day your better of using the shortened recast time or ruin rather then wasting a GCD on Casting thunder.
Maybe opening and precasting thunder could be good, but there are alot better spells to precast then thunder.
Ruin
2.5 sec cast
80 potency
Thunder
2.5 sec cast
30 potency + 6 * 35 potency = 240 potency
How exactly is 240 considered less than 80?
Don't forget that Thunder's duration can be extended using Contagion.

It is, however, our least efficient spell, so it is worth dropping first if you are running low on mp.
Also, don't multidot with it unless you absolutely have to.
I'd still rather cast thunder and stand around not doing anything for 5 seconds than cast ruin 3 times. Ends up costing 25 less mp than 3 ruins.
