Launcher Problem

Been chasing this for about 2 hours now on my XP box (it works fine on the Win8, it's only the XP box freaking out). Was updating everything I could think of... flash, Java... even grabbed the .NET installers and reloaded them. I finally noticed something really odd when I was updating the IE components. I don't use IE anymore, strictly FF... so I was getting the flash and such for IE8 since the launcher uses components from that, and I noticed buttons and checkmark graphics weren't rendering when in IE. Sometimes nothing was there, but the hit-box still worked when I clicked the area, other times it was the picture placeholder box with the red X in them.

EVERY one of them was a link to a .PNG file.

Something had over-ridden the default association for IE to handle them. They worked FINE in Firefox--just not in IE. Found a post at bleepingcomputer linking to a .zip download page at winhelponline that has .reg files to import the association back:

Since importing the XP .reg file, all is well again.

**Note this is a .reg file posted for XP and Vista, and came about because of an issue with IE8--may not necessarily work for anything newer. If you have IE9 or Win7, may need to google specifically for .PNG files not displaying in your OS/IE versions.
