Need a laptop upgrade, wondering if this one will run the game? Help!!

Not sure if this is the right place to post, but looking at a few laptops in the 500-700$ range that will run the game well or well enough.

I don't think it will. I run a laptop with an A10 and it does ok. I dont think the A4 can handle it. I dont know where you live I know wal-wart has an A10 powered laptop with a 17" screen for under 700 bucks.

do not buy a laptop in the hopes of gaming. Ever. They are not made for gaming. If you buy a gaming laptop you are going to spend close to $2000. If you put $2000 in to a desktop, you would get a 3x more powerful PC (if not more).

Laptops are for convenience, not for gaming.

I bought mine cause I travel a lot for work I am in a hotel right now. I cant justify a 2K laptop. But my AMD A10 powered laptop works fine. This guy might be in a similar situation.

I would recommend staying away from laptops. A desktop will cost you less and give you better overall quality. Even if the hardware is great in the laptop features like keeping it cool efficiently can be costly. You can have some of the best parts in a laptop, but they might not work at 100% effectiveness.

If your mind is made up on it having to be a laptop, most laptops around 700-1000USD should be able to handle this game pretty well.

In short, you will probably be sacrificing a lot of quality for convenience if you go with a laptop.

There are many laptops made for gaming. The one I use, I got for about $800 at newegg.com, and it plays the game fine. I bought it when the game first came out, so I'm looking to upgrade now, but I specifically bought it using the specs listed for FFXIV, and I definitely didn't need to pay $2000.
I don't have any suggestions; I just wanted to put that out there before anyone got discouraged from getting a laptop if that's what they really want to play on. :\
