the class system is awful.. i hate the idea of them bringing out a new class and i already have it capped.. wtf lol
He won't because what he claims is non existent.
Yoshi P mentioned this a while back:
Q: Will you make the second jobs very different from their class or first job? For example, the Dark Knight is a very aggressive job and since you seem to want it to become the second Gladiator job
Yoshi:
I see what you mean. We created the system, but we do not necessarily need to follow it all the time. For example, let’s say that the Dark Knight is the second Gladiator job (attention, it is still not a confirmation), when you get its job stone at level 30, all acquired Gladiator skills will certainly be modified to better fit the image of the Dark Knight.
It was just to give an example to explain that we are not going to destroy how players consider different classes / jobs. It could be an interesting way to introduce future classes / jobs. We will consider your concerns on this issue, rest assured.
This should make things more interesting, don't you think?

Um... can you say Arcanist > Scholar? ARC is a base DPS class but its second job is healer. SO... yes you can make a job that is opposite its base class.
I think it would be interesting to have DRK as a tank class as someone mentioned make it a tank that greatly debuffs the mobs and steals its abilities, HP and the sort.
My assumption would be that it's going to be the mirror job to the paladin for the gladiator class, butit's one of those classes I'd like to see get some kind of advanced job treatment that requires two jobs WAR/PLD and a DoH like armorer - with the job switch dependent on wearing the DARK armor forged from the WAR and PLD souls being placed into the armor instead of a weapon.
There's too many DPS classes right now - However... A hybrid Job that is either a tank or a DPS dependent on whether or not it has a shield or a two handed broadsword equipped... could be interesting.
The LAST thing this game needs is more DPS classes. There's way too many of them. Cool sounding classes being Tanks, like say, Ninjas (based on evasion/parry), Samurai, Dark Knights and all that other grim dark cool crap would be a great way to boost Tank population and fix the INSANELY JACKED UP Duty Finder. Or whatever, go ahead, make demands based on your fanboy fantasies and wanting to be a "cool damage class", with no concern for the state of the game or the fact that duty finder is a joke because there's barely any tank or healer classes. Personally? In my opinion? If they come out with ANY classes at all, they need to be either tanks or healers. Especially tanks. Duty Finder even as a healer is a bad joke because there's just way too many DD classes and no tanks out there.
I think the class/job system needs a bit more reworking first before newer ones come out.
It doesn't matter how many classes can be a tank, or healer, there will ALWAYS be a shortage of them, because less of them are required for content. Currently it's somewhere around 20% tanks, 30% healers, and 50% dps. If all of a sudden 30% of the population decided to be tanks, you'd be left for 50% tanks, 20% healers, and 30% dps. What content could we clear with that mess? It'd be nothing but a bunch of tanks sitting around waiting for a group, which would in turn, result in them switching to something else more needed, like DPS.The LAST thing this game needs is more DPS classes. Seravi was being really sarcastic in her comment, and I believe you missed the point. Her point was that it's entirely possible that a job could do something radically different from what it's base class did without a whole lot of effort (although, as stated before in the case of a possible Gladiator > Dark Knight, the Gladiator's abilities would need to be strongly retooled in order to make the class a viable damage dealer and make it feel more like a dark knight).Um... can you say Arcanist > Scholar? I see the second job for MRD/WAR ending up being Berserker if it's to be a DD from the story line and the pure power aspect. From what I remember they did use two-handed axes as the primary weapon too.
The CS when you unlock warrior with the look in the eyes just screams berserker.
I want a DPS, two handed sword swinging class/job. I'm already annoyed that using a two handed axe pigeonholes me into being a tank on my warrior.
