Yeah Kaine could equip shields too, do you see Dargoons running around with Shields? My point is the concept art, and later the what Square themselves consider the Iconic image of him in Dissida does not use shields.

and EVERYONE could equip Hero Shield

Yet 90% of art with Cecil as a paladin also has him with no shield. Nor does his sprite display a shield. That kinda poops on your theory of concept art.

Touche, this is true. Oh well I'll just take my lumps like a man. I'd still prefer them to not have shields, though a one handed sword class with no shield would be pretty sweet.

I personally don't care either way what they do with DRK. I'm just a FFIV-tard and had to comment on the Cecil lines.
