card game.

Don't forget that expansions need to come out in 3-6 month intervals after initial release of the game or it will become "stale".
But I agree with your post, as satirical and hilarious as it was, the expectations of the consumers are far too demanding and I dare say that 90% (if not more) of those complaining have no idea how long it takes to make an actual MMORPG. While FFXIV did come out first, and there may have been at least some ground work for FFXIV: ARR to build off of, it feels like a new game to me personally.
The original FFXIV (to me) was just so horrible that I didn't think twice about leaving the game when they started to implement the subscription fee. After seeing all the changes that have been done in FFXIV: ARR, I rather enjoy the game they have made considering the time frame they've had to re-do just about everything. While I feel content may be lacking for end-game, I can sympathize why the game is at it is, and I won't be expecting them to pump out brand new content every single week. I'm far more realistic than that, which can't be said for most of those posting their arguments.
Sadly, even if they nailed all of that. People would find something to complain about. No matter what.
Fun time sinks that will last for awhile.
I just want difficult raid bosses and mechanics. They did that with Twintania. I'm looking forward to the new raids.

If you go fixing things, people will be mad that they have nothing to complain about ... and then complain about that.
Bacon... every MMO needs bacon. And turtle mounts that move slower than you do on foot...
Every MMO i've seen - even the most successful ones that end up lasting a very long time with a decent-sized playerbase has the same old people whining that the game is dying a few months after the game's released.
