So what i found out about PS3 controllers

So PS3 can alt tab off screen, whilest keeping the button mashed, watch a movie or tv, and farm whatever they want?
This is kinda botting to me, as they dont really have to spend time ingame.
I havent tested if it works for Pc..and i wont i think as it would defy a game made to be played activly...in my opnion.

I nearly reported a PS3 player, who was doing that. Gladly he later explained the mechanics to me (PC user). So i apologized and moved here to see if it is working as intended or and oversight.

This sounds new to me. You cannot leave the game in the background unless he found some exploit to make the game repeat an action or has an autofire controller.
Or he was actually a botter and you got tricked into thinking he was playing on PS3

Well i was locking him and slowly killing him, then he moved out of the lock and started talking. Explaining to me he can minimize window whilest button mashing to kill stuff and watch movies or whatever the same time.
Minimizing might actually work, if you make it as small as possible, i guess?
Still, i see it as an unfair advantage so i report it here and see what/if the CSR has anything to say.

You can't 'minimize' a running PS3 game, the only thing I can even remotely think you/they would be talking about would be a PiP (Picture in Picture) TV where they could have the PS3 displayed in a small window while watching a TV channel or separate device. So how would this be an unfair advantage? I have 2 TV's in my living room so can watch programs while still playing on 2nd screen, I'm still playing, not botting, I still have to look at the PS3 screen to move between gathering nodes or changing crafting recipes etc, how would this be different from a PC user having dual screens with something else on the 2nd monitor? Or playing a game in a window with another window playing a movies etc etc?

Again, i have no problems with people who watch tv whilest playing..on 2 different devices or even on the same if possible, as long as they actually play. Because any non active play= botting one way or another.

Do you have a PS3? If so then you'd know that you can't minimize a game, you can access the XMB but can't run movies or any other content while a game is running.

If i had a PS3 i wouldnt ask things like that and "swallowing someons bull"-... in case you dont know you cant swallow trough a pc screen..oh you have a PS3, sorry.

and it sounds to me all they are doing is changing from game mode to tv mode to watch a program or whatever while afk.this is all you can do on the ps3 with out logging off the game entirely..perhaps they are multi-tasking just like Hippy_Pickle stated nothing more and its no different than a pc user min. screens to do another while your still logged on the game.
