Just give everyone some more Options ...

- Block Whispers from Players under lvl 10
- Block Whispers from Players under lvl 20
- ...
- Block Whispers from Players under lvl 50

And everyone will be happy. No Goldseller will level up his account like a boss, just to send you 1 whisper and get blocked ... and if they do - trust me, they'll stop after some tries.

i seen this idea before in many games and i do support it.

however block them from all types of chat would work best and you can set the lvl you want it at in a setting.

Or word filtering system that ignores the whole chat sent if key word is found

Now let's introduce a little chaos here.
I send my friend a website URL -> Chatmessage couldn't be sent my whole chat would get blocked, 2 hours later a GM will tell me to stop sell gold. Is that what you want? xD
Or even better, I relog to my twink and ask for (lets say) 10k gil in the guild-chat or via whisper. What do you think will happen?

See, uncontrolable restrictions in a pay2play game are never good. There'll be a time, when (unaware of it) you write something of what is prohibited to write. Seeing this restriction in a pay2play game is just seeing a game loosing to these filthy goldsellers.

I don't know what's so hard for SE about it. I see Farmers under the earth and people shouting arround like a wildman or sending 10k whispers a second - They are not even hiding what they do, so banning them shouldn't even be much of a problem. Plus, since it's a pay2play game, they have to buy a new copy everytime you bann one of them ... So shouldn't SE make like 20 Euros with every banned Seller/Bot? So why hesitate? Eventually they'll stop plaguing this game.
