What does the leveling up the relationship of the Free Company with Grand Companies do?

Is their any plan to have any additional effects/traits on weapons and armors in the future such as "enhanced ballads" for Bards or additional elemental damage for primal weapons like in 1.23? If not, is there any plans to make gear less bland stat wise?

I've started the game in late September and already have 3 lvl 50 jobs and am working on a 4th. The problem is none of these jobs nor any of the jobs that are in game currently feel like a class I want to play.

Many of my FC members are already planning to have all classes leveled for 2.1, so... is there a light of hope on when we can at least expect some new classes or jobs? I know Thief, Ninja, Samurai, Musketeer, Red Mage have all been mentioned briefly as classes that you'd like to implement in the future, but it'd be nice to hear some more on these.
