Can someone savvy in this type of thing tell me how something like this is even remotely possible?
i would be very supprised if there wasnt a rollbackThis is what worries me. Im worried i may have lost gil since I was around the market boards during this time. But even more worried I wasted my time due to an incoming rollback. I had 2 nights off this week(work 12 hour night shift), last night and tonight. Hit myth cap and gained levels on BLM. Im probably going to lose like 12 hours worth of gameplay if they roll it back to last night and lose 300 myth since I have no time the rest of the week to get them again. Thats frustrating.
It's obviously not something that could ever practically happen nor be enforced, but I am of the strong opinion that once you wilfully violate people enough, you have to be "taken out of the game". A slap on the wrist leaving you to just inflict suffering on others is no punishment at all.
I hope they re-rolled all servers and give people their gils back. I would quit if i lost all my gils ...-_-. I don't mind the re-roll but hopefully it help other players.
I hope I didn't loose any gil but I hope they don't roll back a whole day like seems to be the case based on lodestone. So much lvling lost... and grinding for the 2 star I had made... ugh this is going to suck. Though unfortunately sucks more for those who lost a lot of gil and time with things other than grinding. =(
Yes, if there's a positive side to this, it's that it's going to be very easy for SE to track the stolen gil and offending retainers. We're not dealing with the brightest criminal minds apparently.Does anyone else find it amusing that the RMT's are now having to go THIS FAR in order to make money in this game? I like to see it as progress on SE's part. The RMT's are stooping to new lows in order to keep the funds rolling in. Something this blatantly obvious is bound to get attention and the rollback will make everything the way it was before. They shouldn't have been so careless attacking everyone at once. I just hope that SE is able to grab the mass amount of gil from them before it gets sold to the low-life's that buy it.
It's also fairly well certain that this attack - which is what it is - is sufficiently illegal to involve law enforcement from several jurisdictions. Basically, this was a colossally stupid move by the RMTs since it will almost certainly allow SE to justify far wider ranging actions against RMT than before.Does anyone else find it amusing that the RMT's are now having to go THIS FAR in order to make money in this game?
