I don't know why you guys have update problems

SE seems to go out of their way to force clunky, inelegant clients upon us. While I'm happy to be rid of playonline, we're left with a labyrinthine account management system and a hopeless updater.

Last night I got 15% of the update with the official client in 30 minutes. I closed it, and downloaded the update to completion in 25 minutes via Utorrent. If Utorrent can do it with no user intervention, SE's client should be able to as well.

ye same happened here and i did the same since i am on a wired/wireless network i cant change the routers ports

a lot of players don't want to open there ports take me less then 30min to download any SE patch. That way better then pol 1hour+ that ffxi took.

its not we dont want too just that some of us cant so *open ur ports* is a load of bull, also i can dl huge gb files via torrent np so the patcher shouldnt have any excusses really

the only people with issue are the once that can't open the ports, The updater is way better then POL but yes SE should just make it so you can download each patch on the website.

There is a website you could download each update from http://tehkrizz.net i sure hope Mod don't delete my post there no other way to get the patch faster if you can't forward your dam ports ; ;

I had to reinstall the game cause i received weird updater errors.
However, now that the first 3 are finished and trying to get the last one the speed dropped to 0.0B/s -___-
Oh and btw I tried everything i could to get remote connections, opening ports, disabling firewalls etc, wouldn't help

Oh yeah, and this is my first post on this forum .... yay

SE still see this as using third party programs, and they can ban people if they find out, which they can only find out if you tell them which is what you are doing posting on here.

I know its stupid but not much we can do.

I don't think they care right now anyways they did the first month they even ban the 3 party windower but now there a few out there and lot's of bots and it the same website that made ffxi bots also and they just don't care.
