You're not the only person on the planet.
I like how you justify this thread by saying there are already too many threads about this topic, yet here you are...adding another one to the mix. How does you saying, "Oh, that's weird...mine works! Why doesn't yours?" help the situation at all?
Obviously, a lot of people are still having problems with the patcher, even with ports opened up. SE is aware of the problem, and have commented on it in this thread.
we are all frustrated by this but you didnt need to post "did you see the rift patcher" unless a community rep had posted and ignored thet screenshot, we are doing all we can to get it changed by posting in here.
I know its a bit stupid, but the only way SE can find out is if you start talking about it, I only posted it so people know what SE's stance is on it, as I said though they will probably not enforce it until subscriptions start to increase.
Its how you hold onto more then one of the same rare item, 1 character can hold a max of 2 of the same rare item by putting one in your Bazaar and holding one in your inventory. This rule applies to retainers too, you can have one in your retainers bazaar and another in your retainers inventory. So most ppl with 2 retainers can hold a max of 6 of the same rare item and since they most likely want the item for something, they put it up for 999,999,999 so no one buys it.
Also its great you can use your gf's account for space but most people don't have access to a 2nd account, using your bazaar space to your benefit is a smart way of saving space. Do tell of this other way of saving space, since for me, whose lvling a DoL class and 3 DoH classes, this method really helps and takes less then 1min to setup.
As for the rude comment you made towards sketch's post, i think you crossed that line first by calling this a dumbass method, which is the same as calling everyone who uses this method a dumbass. This is the only method that allows you to instantly get extra space while your in the middle of the field farming without having to go back to town or have someone come and hold items.
Now on topic: i also think the updater needs serious work, till now i used utorrent but i could not yesterday, as it would not connect to the tracker for some reason and i heard other ppl were having this issue too since SE is now blocking outside torrent clients? For those of you who got utorrent to work, how did you get it to work

it was a level 16 item o.o in the ward for Pug and you can have more of them so ya ; ;Its how you hold onto more then one of the same rare item, 1 character can hold a max of 2 of the same rare item by putting one in your Bazaar and holding one in your inventory. There could be a any number of reasons why he had items up, maybe his inventory on retainer was full too who knows. He may of had full inventory but wanted to move items between his character and the retainer, which you can't do unless you have at least one spot, so he put an item up for 99,999,999 and forgot about it. In my case, one of my retainers is full of armorer mats and the other is almost full with leather mats and my DoW gear so i sometimes use my retainers bazaar to save space too. My point is you don't know the reason and no one is stupid enough to assume he is going to sell a lv 16 pug item for 99,999,999 so he must of had a reason for doing it and just because you don't comprehend that reason does not make people who use similar methods a dumbass.
the same people that told one of my LS members that when they change ISPs they will forever be locked out and have to change their password every time they log in.email SE sent me when i asked em
Dear Michael,
Thank you for contacting the Square Enix Support Centre.
We understand that the download of the new Final Fantasy XIV update is very slow and that you would like to use a 3rd party application to increase the download speeds.
Unfortunately, we have to affirm that a use of a 3rd party application or rather a torrent appication is prohibited and that a use of it will bring an account suspension if it is found out.
Best regards,
The SQUARE ENIX Support Centre Team
Thank you again for contacting us and for your interest in Square Enix products!

It would but it would still require them to keep adding bandwidth when subscribers increase, and if they ditch the direct download when they get more subscribers it would be a waste of resources to pay for the extra bandwidth and servers to give us updates
1. I didn't add a thread. I added my worthless opinion in a post.I like how you justify this thread by saying there are already too many threads about this topic, yet here you are...adding another one to the mix. How does you saying, "Oh, that's weird...mine works! Why doesn't yours?" help the situation at all?

2. I wasn't trying to help the situation, just answer some jerks question.
3. I never said "mine works! Why doesn't yours?" Nor did i imply it.
4. Everyone is aware that a lot of people are still having problems. I was, and still am, under the assumption that the end users can fix their own problems except in extreme circumstances.
5. The post you linked says "the patch system is not performing as well as it should be" that could mean almost anything.
6. Why has the internet made everyone such a tool? I include myself in that obviously. But still, if i said these posts to someone in real life and they could see my smile and my retardedly large eyes it wouldn't have garnered a snotty response. Such is the world i suppose. Actually scratch all of that. If this was real world we would have better things to talk about then patch connection problems. Well now i feel like Ive wasted my time with this(which i have) so have a good day FFforums, have a good day.
7. If they add jump, I'ma find you Chrees, find you and bunny hop my catlady parts in your face.

I could imagine what your ls member heard was a slight mistake, and they meant to say your ls member would have to change their password at first logon with the new ISP, I would have asked for confirmation
