Currently the only option is to forward ports, which unless we know what router people are using we cannot help with because of the differant firmware differant routers have.
This option however is poor because some people wont have access to the router, like people who live in University accomodation so cannot forward the ports needed to get remote connections.
Either SE need to change the ports used to a range that people would have open or they need to offer a direct download option, both would prevent this problem of slow downloads.
I like how you justify this thread by saying there are already too many threads about this topic, yet here you are...adding another one to the mix. How does you saying, "Oh, that's weird...mine works! Why doesn't yours?" help the situation at all?
Obviously, a lot of people are still having problems with the patcher, even with ports opened up. SE is aware of the problem, and have commented on it in this thread.
1. I didn't add a thread. I added my worthless opinion in a post.I like how you justify this thread by saying there are already too many threads about this topic, yet here you are...adding another one to the mix. 2. I wasn't trying to help the situation, just answer some jerks question.
3. I never said "mine works! Why doesn't yours?" Nor did i imply it.
4. Everyone is aware that a lot of people are still having problems. I was, and still am, under the assumption that the end users can fix their own problems except in extreme circumstances.
5. The post you linked says "the patch system is not performing as well as it should be" that could mean almost anything.
6. Why has the internet made everyone such a tool? I include myself in that obviously. But still, if i said these posts to someone in real life and they could see my smile and my retardedly large eyes it wouldn't have garnered a snotty response. Such is the world i suppose. Actually scratch all of that. If this was real world we would have better things to talk about then patch connection problems. Well now i feel like Ive wasted my time with this(which i have) so have a good day FFforums, have a good day.
7. If they add jump, I'ma find you Chrees, find you and bunny hop my catlady parts in your face.

Either way, thanks for staying light-hearted about the situation. And bunny hopping your catlady parts in my face? (No thanks.) My poor virgin Lalafell eyes would explode.
