I've actually not had a single Paladin tank be ballsy enough to pull 3+ groups yet in Wandering Palace, strangely enough. It's always Warriors who do so. Sure, their health bar behaves like a yo-yo, but I still get the time to throw in a few Holy casts every pack.

Then again, I usually don't bother with premade groups anyway, so I take what I get. Fun times when I get to actually do more than Divine Seal'd Regens and DPSing in dungeons.

The time spent healing WAR chews up kill times. The best party is, as I said, PLD/BRD/BLM/WHM. Among those, WHM should be outdamaging your BRD. When you run with WAR, your healer DPS chokes on the healing need, and that slows down the run considerably. You're a SCH, which means that you're not actually part of these runs in the first place. I can imagine that SCH would not be gimped as much by WAR as a good WHM, who needs that time for Holy spam. WAR's contribution, weak though it may be, comes at less a cost to the party in your case.

Sorry for noobish question, what is brd and drg's rolls in speed runs? I get blm for their aoe, but what makes brd and drg suitable for speed runs than other jobs?

war/brd/drg combo is because of Army's Paeon. It allows the brd to spam more aoe (though at a lower than normal dps), it allows the war to spam overpower, and it allows the drg to spam aoe as well (though, while keeping heavy thrust up)

In your average speedrun group, packs go down as fast as if you'd slept them and locked them out of boss rooms.

The reason you bring a brd with a pld, is because of Mage's Ballad. Allows the healer to spam holy, and the pld to spam flash.

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

I've done WP speed runs as both (I'm a relic+1 WHM). WAR are noticeably harder to keep alive during smaller pulls than a PLD can manage. There are places where a WAR shines, but the better mitigation of a PLD makes them a much better choice for this particular run.
