My wife is about to try Brayflox Longstop for the first time with her Scholar. While I have a lot of experience in Brayflox myself as a healer, I was a White Mage and I had Esuna.

In helping her prepare for a successful run (which I will be tanking with my newly minted Warrior), I was curious as to the Scholar approach/strategy for this one, given the fact that Scholars do not have Esuna and that poison stacks are the bane of the Aiatar encounter, even if you're avoiding the pools. The other bosses have their share of negative status effects as well that Esuna comes in handy for.
