    My apologies if this was already explain but...

    Hi there,

    I'm wondering if Square Enix has explained why there isn't an ability to have people join the Primal instances once it starts? The reason I ask is because it's really annoying how once one person leaves, we all have to because we can't "refill" the party.

    I assume it's to encourage people to help players rather than try to convince them to leave because they're bad. But that's just a guess.

    The reason it's not like that for dungeons too, is because players make progress but if someone legitimately has to go, it doesn't punish those that spent time and want to stay.

    Whereas primals are pretty much kill or be killed, with no progress lost.

    'Trials' are different from 'Dungeons'. A 'Trial' is a single battle instance. Trials do not allow you to add members. If people leave (in Ifrit HM) it's usually because of 1 (or more) of these 3 'core' reasons:
    A) Party is not fully competent (ie: Players have FATE Ground to 50 and haven't learned their jobs or rotations).
    B) Party is Undergeared (Titan HM Requires 3200+ Health minimum during Phase 5).
    C) Party is not learning from their mistakes.

    This is one of the things that's ruining the game for me, to the point where I'd rather sit in Uldah crafting than trying to beat Titan and Garuda.

    but you can still pug them in mor dhona. Sucks even harder for me because noone wants to take a warrior to titan. DF groups manage to heal me fine but uber geared PUG groups don't want to...

    D) A 15 minute penalty is nothing to someone who just wants to destroy the time of 7 other people.

    Tanks and healers will get a new group quickly, but those 4 dps will likely have to requeue and possibly sit there for an hour + all because someone wanted to be "that guy".

    I don't think there's actually a way for the matchmaking server to tell if a group in an instance is engaged in battle or not. Doable perhaps but the DF system is already handing a shit ton of queries as it is.

    It can be frustrating. Just now I spent a little more than 1 hour in the queue for Garuda normal. It pops and the healer apparently clicked the wrong Garuda. But he decides to help us - and procedes to get one-shotted twice during the last phase (1st time leading to a wipe at 2%)- and then leaves. And tomorrow I probably have to spend another hour in the queue to try again.

    As for why - how many people would actually opt to join a trial in prgress? You gain nothing compared to a new group, and you risk finding out just why the person you're replacing left.
