Is it me or this server is bad?

I moved from Shiva to Ragnarok when it became possible because of the italian community. In Shiva i was playing just fine. Here it lags and disconnects. Last night it disconnected 3 times and I don't think it is my connection, since there was a long queue to log back in.

Also sometime I kill few mobs and I get no exp nor loot. It happened with the white sheeps near the golden/redish cave entrance, Forgot the name.

Does it happen to many people in other (especially non legacy) servers? Is it the same?

I'd be interested to know if the lagging and 90k disconnects are for this server only, I've not played on others so I can't say, but at times the game lags extremely bad, the coil group I run with is plagued by the 90k error, multiple people get it every day. I figured it was something on the SE side but just put up with it since I presumed it was game wide and would be fixed... If it's just Ragnarok that's pretty bad news.

I can get a lot of lag even crafting. Once the main quest level 36 (I think) was locked. The NPC didn't answer. I checked the forum and the bug reports were only for Ragnarok. If it is really only this server I would like the option to move away from it for free.

Early access/beta aside, I can think of 2 days where I've had lag issues that weren't going away and that was down to my ISP. It's worthwhile checking to see if your ISP is shaping P2P traffic (And likely as a result, FFXIV itself) and if so, if you can switch contracts to get around it.
