It is about just that though...since Yoshida said the game really starts at end game and all there is to do is coil....yeah, OP has a point.
There is more to do at end-game than coil. I can think of 8 class quests, 3 single-fight dungeons, 2 4 party dungeons, 2 8 party dungeons, 1 non-dungeon mini-raid, plethora of materia to gather, money to save up for potentially better gear than tome items. speaking of, 2 collectable currency that can better gear your character. And one collectable currency that can help you net profit or craft amazing things.
And most importantly, this is not restricted to one job. Nope. I know of about 16 jobs that can do some of these things, and more.
So I'm afraid I have to disagree, the topic of the thread has nothing to do with just gearing up allagan gear, and just entering coil. And IF that is the point. There is absolutely, guaranteed, 0 reason you cannot take multiple classes into coil. Again. I have DONE it. It is not impossible. In some cases it's not even a bad idea, but for the better of your group as a whole
really op
hahahaha
Why do you need allagan on every job you play. Am I missing a dungeon that comes after coil?
What I think is going to be funny, really, in a horrible way. Is that come 2.1, they'll probably do something to give people more access to myth tomes, increase the weekly cap for instance alongside the increased dungeons that drop them. That way, people will have more opportunities to acquire AF+1 gear, possibly even get to the point where they have 2 full classes geared out on full AF+1... then, 2.2. hits, 3-4 months later, with *drum roll* the introduction of AF2 (they showed concept art last live letter), which you know you will want over any ilvl90 gear.
And it begins again.
Actually, reflecting on that, I'm almost tempted to stop using myth tomes now myself on my blm and decking out my smn instead. BLM is my main, but SMN is a fun "mess" around job. I could deck that one out now, then throw excess tomes back into BLM, or Bard, before AF2 comes out so I don't feel that burn quite so badly. Hmm, possabilities.
I hope they don't increase the Myth cap. I'd much prefer if they kept it at 300 or even reduced it to 200 and just made it so separate classes had separate lock-outs/caps.What I think is going to be funny, really, in a horrible way.
