I dunno, when making a game, I feel you have to sort of balance between player convenience and immersion/artistic integrity, and I feel player convenience is getting a little to much attention, limiting a lot of otherwise cool ideas and concepts because others don't want to put up with anything stopping them from doing what they want the second they want to. It's kind of silly in my opinion, particularly in an MMO, which is not a genre meant to really be a 'pick up and play' kind of experience
Fair enough, I can understand that people would want to have a diverse world. It was one of the nicer things about FFXI, but it still had huge drawbacks. I don't see why they can't balance it in some way then.
