Can someone tell me why the most BA gear you can get for Bard makes you look like a pink fairie princess with mismatched pants? Seriously even the AF1 looks better than the Myth gear. Especially going from Darklight which looks awesome. Hell, even the Allagan pieces from coil are not even BiS for Bards so it's not like there is a second option...

If they are nerfing Bards like they are planning can they at least "buff" our color palette or give us gear that makes us not want to play with our eyes closed...

It is so awful...

Bards throughout history wore bright, even garrish colors. The tradition of bards (or bard like people) goes back through martial history at least as far as knights and pikemen. Pre-Islamic arabian tribes often used poets, dressed brightly, to insult the opposing forces before battle began--a sufficiently potent beat down be verbally inflicted, battle would occasionally be averted. Warcallers in subsaharan tribes played a similar role. There are european counterparts to this as well. The in game lore makes heavy references to this way of life and role on the field. You are preforming admist death, you have to stand out.

I personally love the gear, af1 and 2. The pants coloring is intentional, its actually best described by the word "pied." I find it very appropriate for the class and the lore around it.

They can take the Archer and go the way of the arcanist by giving us another specialization. Bard for songs and Ranger as a powerful DD. Please bring back the Ranger.

I'm pretty sure Bard AF was designed with a chick in mind, or atleast that's what it felt like to me. Sort of with Monk AF too. I hate both on guys but female chars pull 'em off fine.

Also, as Josh Peck once said, it takes a true man to wear pink.
