Cannot load opening cutscene, which I need to start game at all

after clicking "Start" the game is stuck loading opening cutscene forever, I have come across this problem in an older thread: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...ship-cut-scene

In this thread it says to change the "CutsceneMovieOpening" in the FFXIV.cfg file to 1, this did not change anything for me.

I have just upgraded to windows 8.1 64-bit and so it is treating it like my first login I'm not worried about watching the opening cutscene already have max lvl char, just cannot get to log in screen.

Edit: was a bit stupid trying to edit the FFXIV.cfg while client was open so managed to get around it after closing it down then editing, rather than editing then restarting. still infinite loading time if it does try to play any cutscene though
