Devs - A mini-game card game idea

Look at the games Triple Triad and Tetra Master from previous Final Fantasies and make a similar game - a competitive trading card game in essence.

1) If you kill any monster 10 times, you get a card for it to use in this game.
2) You can wager cards, gil, items, etc. on your card games.
3) It gives people a reason to farm/kill monsters that right now don't serve much of a purpose.
4) It also gives incentives to redo dungeons and kill bosses! Obviously boss cards would be the top tier of cards!
5) Add in a random card pack of 5 cards that you can buy with Philosophy Tomes (250 a pack)

Anyone else think this would be amazing? Any ideas are welcome. I would play this all the time if this was implemented!

Tetra Master was a fairly hit or miss game for most people, due to a somewhat complex system. Triple Triad is probably the best approach for an FF card game. It wasn't overly complex, assuming you weren't hit by every rule possible.

Q: Are you looking into mini-games or other elements where free company members can gather and play?

A: I think some staff members are starting to think about a card game…

Sweet, someone managed to get this ball rolling in the dev office. I really hope they consult with Hiroyuki Ito who designed Triple Triad and Tetra Master.
