[SUGGESTION] WARDROBE SLOTS

Now that two seasonal events have come and gone, and a rather exciting one (Lightning Strikes) is on the horizon, I cannot implore you enough to please add costume/wardrobe slots to the User Interface, so that our looks are customizable.

Some of us have Collector's Edition items sitting in on our retainers (Helm of Light, Onion Helmet, Moogle Cap), bikinis and swim trunks, pumpkin heads and ghost costumes, and now a whole slew of upcoming items are on the horizon that we'd very much like to wear for cosmetic display.

It would be terrific if you could emulate something similar to RIFT's wardrobe slots, where you can interchange the various cosmetic and/or "outgrown" gear in these "for appearance only" slots. There are some items from lower level dungeons that some people cherish, like the Battlemage Robe from Brayflox, and I'd love to be able to wear my BLM AF set (I have to admit, a good percentage of why I leveled a black mage was to obtain the AF set and look like Vivi).

They're indeed implementing exactly what you're stating in a few months - SE have stated there will be restrictions to the system though (based on class - you won't be able to equip as vanity gear equipment that your current class wouldn't normally be able to equip, like a mage having heavy armour as vanity slots would not be allowed.

But it is coming so have patience.

The concept you're thinking of is known as 'Vanity' in this game. It has been mentioned by the Producers and that it will come in Major Patch 2.2 (The second major patch). (Question #26)

Considering patch 2.1 will be arriving next month (December), going based on their promise of an update every 3 months, we can assume that the Vanity system will reach us in March, 2014.
