600000 X 12.99 = 7794000 USD per month, please use some of that to fix the lag.

The only thing the article says is that SE confirmed that it's doing better than XI.
> Talking about how a 11 year old + game is doing compared too and 2 month old refurbished game lol.
I heard about this Abyesea thing that put the nail on that games coffin. Of course it's going to do better.
They killed it. I wish I was old enough to try and play FFXI back then. I wonder how fun it was back in 2000 lol.
It was good for it's time but not something I want to do again. A good example of what it's like? Do you enjoy having a full party killing one mob at a time for 8-12 hours a day with several hours of experience loss upon death?> Talking about how a 11 year old + game is doing compared too and 2 month old refurbished game lol.

The article is outdated. This same information was posted by other sites on september 30th. We had another article in late october about how final fantasy gained another 500,000 players. Recent articles have all been sporting "1.5 million accounts." This article is using September information when it's currently november. Note, 600,000 is still good even if I'm wrong.Try reading the article, it's right in the title. Jesus.
FFXIV has sold ~1.5m units as of Sept 30th (and likely more now), but has 600k current subscribers. That means more than half of the people that bought game, are no longer playing it. That said, 600k is still a good number and above SE's expectations, which pleases the executives to keep wanting to put money into the game.

Date on the .pdf is November 6th (today). The article is outdated. This same information was posted by other sites on september 30th. Note how the 600k number is using information from the "most recent date".

Not necessarily. Remember that retail numbers are shipments, not sales.
While this doesn't concern square enix (for them a shipped game is a sold game, no matter of it finds a home or not), not all of those are necessarily players.
Actually the document states quite clearly that the subscription numbers are updated to the "most recent date".The article is outdated. To the doom and gloom/free to play creeps. The game now has more paying players than Final Fantasy XI ever did. Final Fantasy XI is the most profitable FF game of all time, and it never went free to play. Do your math.
Outdated. New info has FF14 at 1.5 million.Well Well, so much for the sinking ship.
It sold 1.45M copies also until September 30.
