FFXIV Armoury Artiests, With all do Respect, BLM AF design is horrible.

I apologies up front if this thread is any harm to any Artiest in FFXIV Dev team. On the other hand, the AF & Relic AF BLM gear is...bad, actually it looks worse than bad but there is no nice word in the English dictionary that could describe how much I loath the design of BLM AF & Relic AF gear.

I fully understand that it was designed to match the lore and I do know there are those who likes it, but as far as I'm aware (asked many BLMs on my server) many of us actually hates it.

In comparison, the Allagan mage gear is absolutely fresh, clean, elegant, sexy and pure joy to look at. I'm currently setting on 1125 Myth refusing to spend it because of how awful I think the Relic AF looks like, even when I'm fully aware the head and the chest are BiS for BLMs...can't trade my sexy Allagan chest & head for Relic AF

IMHO there are many ways to design an armour that do match the lore but don't make us looks like...u know Relic AF. I really hope the message get the attention of our dear Armoury artiest as they have done a good job mostly, except with few gear sets and the BLM being on the top of list (at least female bard looks nice).

If you agree please like the post to get some attention from the dev team .

Side note: What makes Allagan even better is that we are not wearing a "dress" but actual chest & pants that do look really cool.

I think anything beats Bard AF, that stuff is just a mish-mash of I don't know what.

AF armor is a disappointment. The original set (only to be replaced in no time) is still somewhat fresh. BLM and BRD sucks and DRG is too hedgehog for my tastes. Otherwise than that the skins are ok.

AF2 armor is an utter disappointment. WHM and PLD are the only ones that I like. Recoloring and changing some patterns just seems lazy to me no matter how "lore" they are. It seems I'm not the only one sitting with over 1k mythos simply refusing to buy that ugly garbage and hoping for the better looking coil drops.

BLM head and feet look awsome to me, i don't know what your deal is! the coat however, i can take or leave, but it's not bad. personal preference, etc. i do admit BRD AF however, makes me very glad i don't play it..you poor things.

One of the top BLMs on my server bought the Relic AF boots cause he was tired of waiting for the drop....he switched back to DL boots immediately and never went back. You may like them but most of us think...it is ....argh. Btw this is coming from hardcore elitist a**hole who is all about min & max BiS..even then I still refuse to buy those ugly pieces from AF2.

Not every armor set that gets released is going to appeal to you. If you really don't like the look of the BLM AF/Myth gear, wait until you get your Allagan drops. Or look forward to Crystal Tower and hope that the BLM AF2 is more to your liking.

Who is "us"? Who do you speak for?

I know you don't speak for me, nor do you speak for pretty much anyone I know, as nobody I've ever met in game has ever mentioned any dislike of the BLM AF design.

That said, this thread is purely opinionated (I think that's the right word). Different people have different preferences and not every armor set that gets released is going to appeal to you. Meh..you do know that Crystal Tower gear is ilvl 80...right? you also do know that AF2 is 6 months away if we are lucky? Do you also know that vanity slots are not coming in 2.1 patch, right? This is why I'm QQ here cause I don't want to be dispointed again when AF2 comes out.

How about you ask around first? I have clearly stated that I did ask around on my server, I also have stated that there are people like you who likes it.

Opinion..fact..truth..preferences won't change the fact that Relic AF looks like AF quest gear which yells out "lazy"...and still does not make it look any less ugly that what it is.

That is some serious hate if even an elitist min/max maniac won't even wear them. but to quote one of my favorite movies.... Really.. how often do you look at a man's shoes?
