Back in 1.0 yore, ppl use WAR often just for mob farming or quick spiritbonding. In fact, WAR is the best job for mob farming. Remember those raptor skins we highly sought for hamlets or where those abundance of materia coming from?

While it's not really same issue in ARR, tank is more beneficial right now since amount of them playing with it still lowest compared to healer and DDs. Just give it a thought and try, it's not really hard as long as you're not doing something a bit extreme like speed runs.

You do have freedom to play non tank jobs ofc. But that's entirely up to you. And hence, I'll change my original opinion as suggestion.

Ye, I completely understand your point, as I do have a friend Tank (PLD) wherein if he comes with me on a Duty Finder, we instantly get commenced 5-10s after I registered.

But my point was not all got the time and luxury to create a tank while having a main DPS class. In which case, the system is somewhat at flawed here. It's annoying to wait for like 30-40 mins. really, and when it's commenced time, you're grouped with ppl who's looking for a "In-progress" party and suddenly withdraws their registration and when that happens, it's another 20mins. or so waiting time again.

I'm not sure what you meant by luxury here, but if in this case you were having some sort of time schedule, then yes, this is problematic to you and many people who registered df as DD. Not sure there's viable solution for that atm since again, not many people plays tank since it was a more demanding job than others.

As for joining in-progress DF, not really recommended from my own experience unless there's someone in ls/fc requires assistance beating the said content and there's a willing person from same ls/fc wanted to help and register that, hoping he/she can join in that same party as theirs, which is totally random because there might be several party having similar dire situation too.

Another factor to think are the hours where there's high players population and multiply that by servers housed under 1 regional DF server. Try playing during that hours and hopefully you won't have to wait that long.

And this is FF, where it is known to play many multiple jobs, ever since 1st series iteration, unlike other mmo. I'm sure given time, you could learn to play other jobs well enough, giving yourself more options. That is... again, if you could spend more time on it.

I have friends who actually click all 4 languages so that they get DF parties faster. Not just "J" and "E".

I believe he meant that no one have the luxury to level up and gear up a extra class(tank) just to get a faster queue.
It's very difficult to be a tank that is as effective as a person main-ing him mainly cos of gear wise.
