GeForce ShadowPlay! Live Video Recordings with "0" Lag!

Guys yesterday I tried the new utility that nVidia released, ShadowPlay. Essentially it enables the hardware h.264 encoder onboard of the GeForce Serie 600 and 700 video cards and does live real-time on the fly h.264 encodings of your game at a very low performance hit.

I recorded and Hydra Kill at 1080p 60 fps @ 50Mbps max quality, the video looked sweet i could swear I was playing instead of watching a video, and the best of all It introduced Zero Lag to my gameplay. The video lasted 7 minutes and weighted 2.3 GB.

Then went on to record Ifrit, Garuda and finally some Coils Turn 2 through 4. One thing I didn't expect is that it also recorded our Mumble voice chat, wich it supposedly wouldn't do, but it did, so I'm happy

I used this already to record some Batman Arkham Origins gameplay already. Worked GREAT! I was using it to record our FC's BC T1 run last night. But figured people wouldn't want to watch a bunch of wipes... Hehe!

Well for people that like to record game sessions this a big thing. Live recording always meant reduced game performance and/or hard disk trashing, so this is a great tool that I just wanted to share with you all... I wouldn´t recommend buying a new video card just for this, but im sure for those that already have a GeForce card in their rigs this is great news. And the price is just right... (Free )

Ohh Wow, they must have just added FFXIV to the list of supported games because when I downloaded and installed this a few days ago for my 660 GTX FFXIV was not listed. I did try it with BF4 and it works great, thanks for the post OP!

a) no custom resolution
b) can't record in windowed mod
c) ability to record in constant framerate
