All The Ways To Invite To Party On PS3?

90% of the time I use duty finder to join groups. However, there are times that I want to invite linkshell members or people that send tells and it takes me a while to invite them.

Here are the ways I know how to invite people
    1. The most efficient way I know to invite people is by doing something like press start->social list->friend list->press square on person->invite to party
    2. Select person in the world->press square on person->invite to party
    3. Press start->social list->player search->type person's first or last name in->press square on person->invite to party

Does anyone know of faster and easier ways to invite people on PS3?

If they are in your LS you can invite them directly from the LS list if you hit Square on their name.

If they are someone in the chat log, push Select to move the focus to the chat log then scroll up or down until you select their name, then hit Square for an option to invite them.

Just remember that Square is essentially Right Click.

Well another way that may sometimes be easier if this was initiated based on tells or other chat is:

[Select] (to get to the chat box) or [O] (if you were already on the typing line of the chat box)
[Up] from the directional keys until it selects the player's name where they had said something in chat
[X] to bring up a sub-menu of actions
    Choose Invite from that sub-menu

Another way is to go to chat and enter in the text line:
    /invite "player name"

Thank you for the replies. I have tried inviting from LS list but it doesn't work. Maybe it's bugged but I will try again tonight. Inviting people from the chat log by scrolling up or down with the directional key to select their name then pressing square will be very helpful and probably be my primary way of inviting people now. Inviting people with the /invite command is better than what I am doing now for tells but I type with the controller and some people have names that are difficult to spell and remember if their name goes off the chat window.

You should be able to /invite <r> for the last person who sent you a tell. Won't help if you get several people sending tells in a row, but it's something.

Edit: For that matter, you could make that a macro. Minimal interaction for tells sent at a reasonable rate.

    Thanks Bixby. I'll try /invite <r> too.

Edit: Inviting from LS list works just as good as inviting from friend list, I never had a bug. I guess I had bad results before because my LS is like always busy with something when they want invited to a party. Inviting people by selecting their name in the chat window also works very well. I'll probably primarily invite people using these 2 methods since they seem to work best for me.
