Is there a way of removing or lowering crafting and gathering delays?

I guess I am the lucky one, as I don't experience the combat delays in dungeons, so many people reported so far.
But there are so many delays in gathering and crafting, I was wondering if there is a way to remove or at least shorten them.
Are they the result of that .3 sec of forced delay in the game's design, or something else?
Every time I want to gather or craft it's: press a button, wait, press a button, wait, ....
There are so many delays I sometimes get the feeling I am only able to craft or gather as a reward for waiting.

I really agree on this. While it's understandable that there'd be SOME delay so you couldn't deplete a node in less than a second, the current speed feels rather boring.

watch a movie while gathering... u wont be bored as time passes by... gathering is one of my favorite activity since i can watch a marathon of anime episodes while doin it lol...
