Enemies counted as party members in chat log

    Thread Title:
Enemies in a certain quest are being counted by the combat log as party members.

    Date & Time:
    6NOV13, 0130CST

    Frequency:
Always (within the constrains of the bug)

    Character Name:
    Aria Placida

    World:
    Balmung

    Class/Level:
    PLD 45

    Area and Coordinates:
    Southern Thanalan 19,17; 19,18; 23,12; and 24,13

    Party or Solo:
With Chocobo companion. Not sure if that's Party or Solo for your purposes.

    Monster Name:
    Sultansworn Squire and Sultansworn Elite

    Steps:
While doing the quest Poisoned Hearts (PLD 45), I noticed that enemies summoned when stepping into purple rings were showing up in my combat log every time I inflicted a status effect on them. My combat log is set to show only status effects gained by me or my party.

    1. Open chat settings for "Battle"
    2. Uncheck everything in "Chat" and "Announcement" subtabs.
    3. Ensure that only things checked under "Battle" are "Detrimental effects inflicted on you" and "Detrimental effects inflicted on party members"
    4. Engage in battle with a Sultanswon Squire or Sultansworn Elite in the quest Poisoned Hearts
    5. Inflict a status effect on the enemy. The effect will appear in combat log despite being in an unchecked category.

Note: This may hold true for other enemies in other quests summoned by entering purple rings. I haven't tested.
