YAY AUTO ATTACK!

YAY AUTO ATTACK!
Healer strike is ridiculously foolish and accomplishes nothing
omg guys.... it's a replacement for the 1 button. If you think that the game is easy enough to just stand around on auto-attack, then maybe the game is just flat out TOO EASY. Seriously, sp cap for higher mobs is >10. I can solo mobs 10 rank above me no problem. Remember FFXI? If you fought an Even Match, it was literally an even match. Flip a coin, you might win. The difficulty of this game is such a joke, i've been soloing goats since the start for shizengiggles.
Here's a link that explains why this game is really just a shortbus:

Ok ive been thinking about this and a particular situation bugs me.
If it indeed just spams the normal attacks for you then I wont be able to play Archer like I have been for the past few weeks. I like to open an attack with 3 nocked arrows then again after with another 3, if the AA works like I assume it does i'll only be able to nock 2 arrows before it attacks for me. Not that the lack of control and not being able to attack at my discretion bugs me enough already
'United we stand, Divided they fall'

I don't understand the difference. I highly doubt Auto-Attack even does anything, but just more pointless animation. They are obviously going to balance the mobs so that you can't just engage a mob and let your character Auto-Attack it to death. In fact, I strongly believe that the current battle director, the same one that did FFXI, will make it harder like FFXI. Sure, he promised that there will still be solo gameplay, but he's probably talking about behest where you can join by yourself and be invited by others or doing a 1 star leve at the correct rank.
Gents, I post my opinion about our current battle system in General Discussion, and I think it can answer some arguments here =)

I stopped reading after this: "new auto-attack system is basically a copy of FF11 after more details are revealed" (this is your first sentence).
FFXI must be the only game with auto-attack huh. Educate yourself. The rest of your post sounds like it's being delivered by a masochist. I respect your opinion, but SE is gonna do what the majority wants, and they don't want the current system the way it is.

I think none of the words say "FFXI must be the only game with auto-attack" in my post, so it may be a misunderstanding (or miss-reading). As to "more details are revealed", I mean like "mages will do auto-attack in close range", "archer will have close range attack", and "magic effects will be separated into single or AOE by cases". These changes were made to fit into auto-attack system, and these are exact what we had in FF11.I stopped reading after this: "new auto-attack system is basically a copy of FF11 after more details are revealed" (this is your first sentence).

In addition, according to the auto-attack demo video, it's obvious that recovery lag from normal attack is gone, and various-purpose normal attacks were not showed as well. In terms of the number of parameters players can control in a battle, that auto-attack system is actually to do less well than what we have now.
I understand what the majority wants based on the votes, and it's not hard to see, in order to make more money, SE needs to satisfy the majority. However, this fact can't tell you which system is better in terms of what a creative game should have.
You know what I am not interested in on ANY level? The current latency between the current auto-atta--- I mean button mashing "non-autoattack system". Its awful. It really really really really really subtracts from the game. Really. I played FFXI for 6 years. When I activated an ability in that game, it went. I didn't wait. I wasn't concerned with the order of the abilities going off. Timing is a huge deal in this, and every, video game. If you think, even for JUST a second, that the current system is BETTER than auto attack then you, sir, are an idiot.
you magically correlate lag on actions to AA, when in fact aion and wow have just as many button presses per minute if not more (see stamina) and they dont have lag. Dont mix lag issues with other issues. You know what I am not interested in on ANY level? The current latency between the current auto-atta--- I mean button mashing "non-autoattack system". Its awful. FFXI battle was really really boring. It excelled at milestones and charachter progression. Fighting in FFXI was a snooze fest.

Snooze fest? oh please! In that game we had complete control of what we did and HOW we did it. It was easy to plan bursts for mages and chains for meleers. And BLU? Blu was SO MUCH FUN to use with that system.you magically correlate lag on actions to AA, when in fact aion and wow have just as many button presses per minute if not more (see stamina) and they dont have lag.
