they can't just delete someone, just cause someone blist them.
they need to investigate each case. And since there's so many seller, it takes a lot of time.
there's not just 1 server; each server has hundreds of spammers.
every time i blist 1 seller, another one takes its place, a few min later, so it will never end.

i'd support a chat-block feature, where you get chat blocked, if 100 ppl blist the person. but it still wouldnt fix your problem, of getting full b-list. so you'll just have to deal with it i guess.

Being on a Japanese server, I see RMT shouts or get RMT whispers maybe once or twice a week. Really goes to show how much RMT rely on NA servers to get business.

Hmm... with the current limit, I think it would be safe to delete some of the first people on your list and work your way down from there. Even if a character hasn't been marked as deleted, it might no longer be active... PLUS, if it was a compromised account and SE could tell it belonged to a legitimate owner (not RMT), the access to the account could have been simply restored to a REAL person. Therefor, the character isn't gone because it was a real character.

I imagine less and less of these accounts are 'free' accounts because the beta and free trial for FFXIV is over... meaning more and more are accounts that are hacked, with new random characters created to be the 'shout/whisper' spammers. I have seen MUCH less shout/whisper spam than I used to, and it almost always happens in large cities. SE has better control of it than they did in the beginning... that's for sure. The occasional tell is not a huge nuisance to me. I don't even block anyone on the off chance that it may be a compromised legitimate account.

If you aren't reporting, you aren't helping them to be deleted.

Hard to report when you have to manually copy there name and go into several sub menus, write out a ticket, paste the name, for every-single-rmt. I'm with the OP, I'm tired of getting tells from 5-8 different players every time I log in. If I don't blacklist them, they spam me every few seconds. Thats GREAT advertising btw..

Delete the older names. I've found that while my Blist hovers around 50 names, if I clear out the oldest names, or names that obviously belong to accounts that got stolen rather than spam accounts (names that sound reasonable vs Shjgsj Jkjsk) then I don't encounter much in the way of spamming and still have room each week for the four or five new accounts I encounter over its course.

Yea n thats the thing. if i dont blist em its only a matter of time till they send another. I understand that quite a few may be hacked accounts bt truthfully someone out there is paying for the gill. n im sure they make enough to afford a $15 a month sub so they can keep making money. there r a few rmt nmes that i'd imagine could be hacked accounts but the majority r obvious scribbled names. some even make a half hearted attempt to try n make it tricky to decipher how its spelled. tho when a goldceo ??? comes through know lol. the idea of a world blist intrigues me tho. something where someone has been blisted a large amount of times to be suspended tho just like many things it would be open to abuse. somehow i dont see SE implementing anything in game for it otherwise they would probably have 2 sacrifice something else. tho i wonder where SE think they stand on the issue. do they think theyve got a grip on it or is it out of hand? theyve already admitted to always being 1step behind

I'm getting close to 200 and getting tired of having to stop what I'm doing to report rmt. What gets me is when I get tells from rmts called "Goldceo Whatevergiberish". That's a notorious gold selling site, how can they get through character creation with that name? Well, I know why, there's no filter for it...

This is a real problem and SE doesn't seem to care all that much about it. Heh.
