That room looks like the Sharlayan Library, you're just missing the Orchestrion to play the smooth jazz tune. I also hope we'll be able to get the Scholastic Uniform from the new side quests...

Like Dinnertime said, there are only one or two good facetypes. I actually had a different one at the beginning but it changed later to make my character appear more mature - gotta grow inside an rpg you know.

Well...I used to be on Gilgamesh but I have alot of friends on Balmung, and I had only one friend on Gilgamesh that actually logs in with an alt just to hang out with me, and his main character is on Balmung, so yeah! It's better for me to transfer there.

EDIT: It's also the biggest NA server I believe, with a large RP community. Lots of interesting things happening here every now and then.
