I think some people get really hung up on appearing unique to the point they try to wear it as a goofy badge of honor. Ultimately how you feel about your character is really the only thing that should matter.

Normally when I try to make Hyurs I either make a Midlander (I like all of their faces!), or a Face 1 Highlander - the stern / RBF / most popular face. It's definitely the easiest to work with, but I wanted something softer for this Highlander, so I made her muscle tone 2/100 and her height 22/100, and then spent almost an hour playing around with Face 2. I think I really nailed the "strong, but gentle" look!

You definitely nailed it! I love highlander women, the only thing bothering me about them is the dark under eyes I remember kind of fixing that by setting a blush (or one of the eyeshadows I don't remember too well) to a color very similar to their skin color, that seemed to help!

I remade my character portraits - I wanted them to look somewhat similar throughout but maintain a flashy unique flavour - turns out the fog border provides both!
