Speaking of stereotypes. A guy with pink hair and revealed chest. I can see why this is linked with the flag. Loud colours, loud behavior and the urge to be accepted . That's what it speaks to people. The flag completes the circle by making him more attention seeking. Pointing it out is in no way homophobic.
So it's a case of be yourself, but don't be yourself, but ... be yourself? Except being yourself is "wrong and disgusting"... right.Eww... gross. There is nothing wrong with being yourself. And trying to shame someone into not being their self is honestly just wrong and disgusting. There are all walks of life in every single place in this world. No matter who you are, what you are, where you come from, who you love and not love. Just be yourself and be honest with yourself.
Again there is nothing wrong with being yourself. If you want to be flamboyant then work it! If you want to be quiet and reserved, do you. But no need to come for others and who they are...
Regarding the bolded, it's ironically an attempt at what you supposedly revile, aka shaming, but rebranding it as being "called out".
People such as yourself are, ironically, why I - and many other gay and bi men - prefer having nothing to do with the official so-called LGBTQ+ movement and the myriad of other political groups it's now merged with. Nevermind the frequent inference which arises - though I presume not here - to the effect that not wanting to be associated with this, is somehow a "betrayal" of some movement I never really signed up to, as well as the tendency of some to try and paint "flamboyant" behaviours as going hand in hand with preferring the same gender.
However, much as I appreciate Pomelo's and Rosentretter's comments, mine were simply a comment on the character's appearance. I liked the design, barring those elements, and commented to that effect. In general, and with very few exceptions, I prefer natural hair tones, and yes, the flag adds little IMO. To interpret it as a gratuitous attack, as one other poster did, is folly and the sign of a paranoid mindset. It was a qualified compliment, in a thread I had imagined was not merely a hugbox.
That is all I have to say on the topic.

When the game's story becomes self-aware:
This is a game x.x I wanted to show my character off and make a fun gay edit. And include the flag. Especially after seeing this artwork~
Maybe my character doesn't do it justice as I'm half nakie and posing on my own with pink hair. I didn't exactly have the outfit for it either.
This was my first time making a Highlander and I wanted to flaunt his muscular physique!
You don't like the flag? That's okay. You think my Highlander is stereotypical, that's okay! You think I'm attention seeker? Who cares. I know who I am. XD
Show Your Hyur. That's what the thread is for. Express yourself! <3
Anyway! Now that we've flushed that down the toilet.
Let's have fun and get on with the thread~

Just to make this clear with you! Because this was to do with us so I just want to close the book on this. However, much as I appreciate Pomelo's and Rosentretter's comments, mine were simply a comment on the character's appearance. I don't care what you are, as long as you're a nice person.
I was never offended by anything you said and maybe should've chosen my words more gracefully when replying back to you.
I personally never took it as an attack. And I hope you didn't take my reply as that either.
Thank you! I'm flattered that you liked the design regardless of the hair color and flag! ^-^/
I mean I won't be using him as Midlander is more for me but I really appreciate it.

As long as we are clearing things up. Lauront, apologies for getting involved I probably shouldn't have.
-Lilia- I honestly this whole time knew you were alright with what had been said, I only jumped in because another poster thought it was an attack, on something which did not have ANYTHING to do with her, and I was trying to clear up the situation, but probably not in a good or clear way. Woopsie.

Aww it's okay! don't worry about it.
To be fair though, mine and Lauront's posts had nothing to do with Rosentretter either.
As you can see, there isn't a problem and there never was so it was very unnecessary to get involved.
Even though the arguments branched off into their own drama, him commenting is what started it.
It was nothing to do with him. He took it in his right to say something, just like the girl took it in her right to say something about it aswell.
That's what I meant by over dramatizing the situation.
I'm not faulting anyone! But if it was just left to me and Lauront to share opinions and converse then none of this would have happened. Just saying.
I find listening to other peoples opinions very interesting. But not if you're going to throw insults or accusations my way. No thank you that is just rude.
