Am I ready to enter Amdapor Keep?

Hi All,

I've been farming Wanderer's Palace for a while due to all the horror stories I hear about AK and being undergeared for it. I was wondering based on my gear alone (I'd say I can hold my own as a DD :P) if I would be able to comfortable enter AK.

Currently, my main job is a 50 DRG. I have the GC weapon, my AF gear, and 3 pieces of darklight (belt, ring, neck).

Would this be a good time to start pugging AK? Or should I farm for more darklight or do something else beforehand?

Any input would be awesome.

You would be able to hold your weight as the content is intended I imagine, but you might want to shout in Revenant's Toll and make sure you're not getting into a speed run (most PUGs I play with on AK are speed runs, given the dungeon's nature).

You could have walked into it with WP gear. DL is already a higher iLvl than what you get from AK.
As Sleigh said though, be sure to not walk into a speedrun (or just use DF)

You can still speed run AK with a tank willing to die twice during the instance you can do it in 15 minutes or shorter. On the real topic yes you will be fine in AK.

You should be more than fine for a normal clear. I assume all runs in DF to be normal ones.

The way speed runs work is to just be ridiculously overgeared for the content. Plus some sac pulls. I would expect those parties to be prebuilt.

If you are really worried I would suggest you pre build your party or at least take a friend or two with you.

I started FARMING it with full AF1 + blank lv28 accessories, so yes. You can.
(but you are dps, so AF1+lv28 accessories is a bit too low I think XD)

in my experience, AK is actually easier than WP.

you only need to be able to push out enough damage to drop demon wall before he drops you in AK, and even that's not very hard

in WP you're constantly having to rush because of the stalkers, and some people may not have the gear or experience to push out that much damage for that long, and unless you've got a tank whose overgearing the instance by a LOT, agro control is going to be an issue because of it.
