The definition of a Musket includes long rifles.
A friend of mine, who is a bit of a firearms aficionado, made this distinction, and has expressed an interest in becoming a Musketeer.
However, she would be extremely disappointed - nay, she would be angry - if the Musketeer class focused only on pistols.
So, I implore the Developers to consider implementing a Long Rifle subjob for Musketeer that functions as a marksman class with abilities similar to "Called Shots" in other MMOs: in other words, guaranteed headshots, as well as other appropriate abilities that are fitting for a long range marksman.
Actually, if you consider the design of the pistol and rifles, and their applications; pistoleers have more speed but less power, and muskets have more power, but less speed.
So it would be dependent on the player's playstyle: Does the player want to be a fast, rapid-hitting musketeer (like a Pugilist), or does the player want to be a hard hitting, precise marksman (like a Marauder).
I ask of the Developers to take this into consideration with utmost urgency.
My friend will bite my head off if musketeer is restricted to only pistols. I wanna live, please.
